    • NFO options via SmartAPI: SL / SL-M orders, modifyOrder trigger price, and order status after a timeout

      Hi team,

I run an intraday NIFTY options bot (buy CE/PE, exit same day) through SmartAPI Python. Before going live I need clarity on three points. Please confirm or point me to the documentation:

      1. Broker-side stop-loss for NFO options: is variety=STOPLOSS with ordertype STOPLOSS_LIMIT (and STOPLOSS_MARKET) accepted for NFO option contracts through the API? If MARKET and SL-M orders are restricted for options, what is the recommended way to place a protective stop that lives at the broker, so the position is protected even if my server loses connectivity?

      2. modifyOrder: for an open stop-loss order, can I move the stop upward (trailing) by sending a new triggerprice (and price) with modifyOrder? Are there rules such as a minimum change, a maximum number of modifications per order, or a rate limit?

      3. Timeouts: if placeOrder raises a timeout or network exception, I cannot tell whether the order reached the exchange. What is the recommended way to reconcile? Is the ordertag field returned in orderBook, so I can match an order by my own tag? Is orderBook updated immediately after placement, or is there a delay I should wait for? Also, what is the rate limit for orderBook and positions calls?

Thanks in advance. Any reference to the relevant documentation page would also help.
