Hi Team,
I'm running an automated bot via SmartAPI (Python SDK) that calls
getCandleData once every 15 minutes, only during market hours
(9:15 AM - 3:30 PM IST).
Every day, the first call after market open fails with AG8001
"Invalid Token" (session expired overnight - expected). My code
automatically re-logs in right after.
However, after that re-login, EVERY subsequent call for the rest
of the day fails with:
"Access denied because of exceeding access rate"
This happens even though I'm only making 1 request every 15
minutes - well under your documented limits (3/sec, 180/min).
It resets by the next morning, then repeats the same pattern.
Details:
- API Key: [8Gqbz7Ah]
- Client ID: [P139808]
- Server IP: 35.244.60.38
- Error first appears: ~9:15 AM IST daily, after re-login
- Example timestamp: Oct 01 2026, 03:53:56 UTC (login),
04:24:02 UTC (first rate-limit error)
Could you check if my IP or API key is flagged/throttled at the
gateway level? This is blocking my dry-run testing.
