What are your thought process in providing historical data for market benchmarks? Is it just only for NIFTY 50 and SENSEX or will make available historical data for all the sector wise market benchmarks (like AUTO, BANK, IT, PHARMA,..etc) and what would be the ETA to make it available?

I tried to get historical data for market benchmarks like Nifty and SENSEX, but received nothing. But where as historical data for regular markets like INFY, and for other markets , there was no issue.
Is Index data is not available through smartAPI?

Do you have maintenance window timings or sort of? Because last time (on Saturday, Wee hours) when i tried to pull the historical data i got the error and the issue got fixed later. The error is connection to URL 'https://apiconnect.angelbroking.com/rest/auth/angelbroking/user/v1/loginByPassword' timed out after 5.000 seconds. The reason is "Waiting for response header". Perhaps the server is not responding.

Yes, i have gone through the documentation, but haven't seen anything about how far historical data is been supported. (Frequency level per API request response limit is only mentioned in documentation).
Anything on same would be helpful.

I have gone through documentation but i haven't found an API call for retrieving company/ticker meta information.
https://margincalculator.angelbroking.com/OpenAPI_File/files/OpenAPIScripMaster.json, this call looks similar but do you support any other call that provides more information and also full names for company (Eg: Infosys for instead of INFY under 'name' column').
Any suggestion on same would be grateful

I'm good at MATLAB, hence using MATLAB to understand the SmartAPI, but i will switch to Python once i get familiar with SmartAPI. My confusion is, do i need to have Demat account with AngelBroking to get Authorization Token? I haven't created Demat with AngelBroking. I have seen their API Docs, authorization token is required for making requests.

Hi, I'm new to AngelBroking.
I have come across with Smart API, and tried to get historical data to back test my strategies, but i do not have any clue about where do i find Authorization Token (JWT). I have signed up for smart api, got API Key and Secret Key. I haven't created Demat account yet.
