NIFTY and BANKNIFTY symbol token are missing

so far I didn't have an issue .

i am running my algo strategy successfully using smartapi and using historical data provided by angel one .

I don't know why peoples are creating an issue for not getting index data and that they can any how get it indirectly by Nifty Future.

Mainly we need Historical Candles without Historical data most of the strategies will fail.

Market data is not my concern.

For what I need I have to pay 2k extra . So better to use Angel for time being.

In future I may subscribe to 3rd party for live data if needed.

There are few drawbacks I agree .

It will be there if we go to any broker.

@Mnagesh If you don't understand the requirements of other users, please don't judge and comment on issues raised. We are also running the Algo platform and we have a specific requirements to get the LTP data for indices and we can't switch to futures. We can't simply switch to other solutions without know why Angel team is doing these kind of things without informing/publishing the changes in advance.
Please don't confuse other users with your suggestions and each user has unique requirement to running his algos.

@aryantrivedi208 I can completely understand your frustration. Even i am not able to trade for 2 days in a row.
And i dont want to fiddle with the code at this moment. Waiting for angel to resolve this matter.

I am posting in twitter tagging @angelone regarding this issue. Urge you to do the same atleast they would get serious.

Our data vendor has stopped publishing Nifty and Bank Nifty indices data. We have shared the logs with them and are working on having this fixed. We regret the inconvenience.

If any one got confused with alternate solutions better they can stop reading the suggestions .

The real developers will dynamically adopt new things or find alternate solutions for the current issues. Others can ignore if they cannot adopt new things.

We are here to share the knowledge.
If my knowlage is useless one can trow it to dust bin.

But I will accept any knowledge which is unknown to me from any one.

This is a fourm to share our knowledge with each other. I learn few things from here.

If some one is in trouble , it is human nature to help them . Accepting or rejecting is left to one's own will.

Before proposing alternative solution, you need to understand the requirements. That is the first and foremost quality of 'REAL DEVELOPER'. Just don't jump in try to answer all the queries which is un related to u. We are trying to raise the issues with Angel team and not with the individuals.

The issue is resolved now. You will be able to fetch LTP of Nifty(26000) and Bank Nifty(26009).

@admin I am still facing the issue while fetching Nifty and Bank Nifty. The API is down for 4 days. Can you please make a closure to the issue?

@Reddy I am able to get the LTP values for NIFTY and BANKNIFTY with symbol token 26000 and 26009 respectively. I remember you are using exchange as NFO while getting the LTP for these indices, please use exchange as NSE.

there were some glitches in-between for 2 or 4 minutes .

I use data directly from NSE save it in txt file and call a function to read its contents for symbol code

For FnO

I cant find the Nifty and BANKNIFTY Futures symbol Token, from the Master API/Jason : https://margincalculator.angelone.in/OpenAPI_File/files/OpenAPIScripMaster.json

I can only see Nifty Futures Token as 5, 13,14 as NIFTY NEAR MONTH, MID MONTH AND FAR MONTH Respectively but i am not able to retrieve any data.

while running my code Its strange that i am not getting any error although the files in blank.

Please note that i am able to get the data for other symbols like Stocks
